At You do the Maths, we take your privacy seriously and will never intentionally pass your details to a third party. Any information provided by the user will not be shared with any third party, except for the intended purpose for which such information is provided by the user, in which case the user’s consent is implied. Whilst every attempt is made to secure information transmitted to this site; there is a possibility that information submitted could be observed by a third party while in transit.
No attempt will be made to identify users of our site or their browsing activities except in the unlikely event of an investigation where a law enforcement agency may exercise a warrant to inspect the web server logs.
When you visit our site, our server logs information which is provided by your browser. This information is used to create summary statistics. This provides information to us such as the number of visitors to different sections of our site. This helps us make the information more useful to visitors of our website.
Any collection of personal data by You do the Maths will only occur with your consent.
Your email will only be recorded if you send us an email message or order products from our store. We will only use it for the purpose for which you provided it, and will not be added to our mailing list.
You do the Maths does not rent, sell, or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies.
You do the Maths will, at your written request, remove all personal information we hold within 2 working days of the request being made.
Terms and Conditions
Definitions
Store : The web based service being used by "You do the Maths" for the purpose of marketing and selling the digital goods and games available from "You do the Maths".
PayPal : The third party online payment provider "YoudotheMaths" uses to process payments for purchases from the store.
Goods : Products available for sale in the "'You do the Maths" online store.
Customer : The person purchasing the goods from "You do the Maths".
Conditions for sale of goods
1.Terms and Conditions agreement
When you purchase goods from the You do the Maths store you will be asked to tick the
"I agree" box by clicking in the required space prior to completing your order. By clicking in this box you are accepting the terms and conditions of sale. The contract between the customer and "You do the Maths" will commence when the full payment for the required goods has been received by "You do the Maths". By placing an order with "You do the Maths" it is implied that the customer is legally capable of entering into binding contracts and is at least 18 years of age, or have read these terms of sale with a parent or guardian, who has explained these conditions of sale to the customer so that you fully understand them.
2.Cancellation and Refunds
A purchase of goods from "You do the Maths" (An Australian business) by a customer based in Australia is bound by the Australian Consumer regulations.
All sales of digital goods are final. Refunds of such goods will only be considered if the following conditions apply:
- the digital goods are proven to be defective
- the customer can prove that the same goods have been ordered by the same customer previously and the most recent order was an error. In the instance of a purchase for a school, this must be from the same school.
For sale of non-digital products, such as the games produced by "You do the Maths", should a customer change their mind with respect to the purchase, refunds will only be given if the product is returned to our postal address in a re-sellable condition and the customer has notified us within 7 days of the order being made. We do not accept responsibility for goods that are lost in transit to us. If any products do not have all of the stated items required for the product to be used correctly we can send the missing items to you. If any goods are damaged upon their delivery, please contact us immediately. We may request a photo to verify the damage. Once it is verified we will send a replacement to you at no cost. If it cannot be verified we may ask you to return the item to us. "You do the Maths" will attempt to do the right thing by their customer and we ask that you do the same for "You do the Maths".
3.Pricing
All pricing of the digital store at the time of an order reflects the current price. We will not accept any offers for goods other than those stated as the current price. Payment for all goods is processed by PayPal. Payments made via third parties are subject to the third party's terms and conditions.
4.Delivery
Delivery of non-digital products will occur through the use of Australia Post for deliveries within Australia. Purchases made by customers outside of Australia should contact us by email to organise the purchase and transfer of goods
Delivery of digital goods will occur via download to the customer's computer.
By purchasing "You do the Maths" digital goods you agree to use these for non-commercial use only. The digital goods can only be used within the school, or tutoring business, who purchased the product. Schools may place the digital goods on their intranet provided it is password secured for use only by staff and students within the school.
Conditions for Tutoring Services
1. Tutoring Venue
Tutoring can be done at the student's home, the "You do the Maths" office, or online. Extra fees may apply for travel to a student's home. Tutoring will only be done by a tutor who has a "Working with children" accreditation and is a registered and qualified teacher, as recognised by the "Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia".
2.Online Tutoring
Online lessons can be conducted for any student across Australia on Zoom. Should an online lesson be delayed or interrupted due to technical difficulties, no charge will occur for the time lost. Customers will be supplied with a costing table prior to commencing online tutoring so they know the charges for the duration of lessons which occur.
3.Payment
Payment for tutoring sessions can be made at the time of the lesson or within 7 days after the lesson by electronic transfer or payment on the day of the lesson.
4.Cancellation
Customers can cease the tutoring at any time without any costs incurring, other than the payment of lessons which have already occurred. We do not have long term contracts or payments for our tutoring services. Should a customer wish to cease tuition they may lose their time slot due to demand from other customers. For convenience of other customers, please ensure cancellations are made well in advance, unless an unforeseen circumstance has arisen.
