Taking Sum Time in Victoria

I have just come back from a trip to Victoria - catching up with friends, seeing some Cricket and Football, and taking the time to talk to some people about "Take Sum Risks".

I met with Dr Angela Rogers, from the Numeracy Teachers Academy. https://www.numeracyteachersacademy.com

Angela was great to talk too and I would recommend booking her services if you are doing any Numeracy PD for staff, or wanting some help as a parent. She talks in practical terms and communicates her understanding of Numeracy and essential skills very clearly. She also took home some packs of "Take Sum Risks" and played it with her family. It was nice to hear her say that it was simple and offered a lot of Maths to the players.

Helen, at The Coffee Apple, also played the game with her 9 year old son, who enjoyed it and asked to play some more! Helen's store has some great resources for young children, from 0 years upwards. She has a great knowledge of what appeals to children and their parents (and grandparents) and it was great to hear her feedback. We look forward to sending some of our games across to The Coffee Apple in the very near future.
